Though Karur is assuming greater dimensions in the field of Textiles both inland and exports, some people who have throbbing desire to serve the society especially in the arena of education, had ushered in the launching of a Trust in the name of Tmt. Kaliammal Palaniappan Educational & Charitable Trust.
They chose the segment of Teacher Education because the paucity of shepherds of the field was felt intensively. Hence they started Kaliammal College of Education in December 2005. It was affiliated to Bharathidasan University. Since the inception of TamilNadu Teachers Education University in 2008, it runs under the New born University. Our students had achieved spectacular success in all the University Examinations. To be specific all students so far obtained First class in Practicum Components.
The Trust under the Chairmanship of Thiru. Aasee. S. Muthusamy wants to offer wholesome and qualitative Education to the prospective and promising teachers of India. He is very particular about the competency and professional skill of every teacher produced in the institution. Himself a steadfast believer of “Truth Triumphs”, he desires to instill the same dogma in the minds of architects of future “Powerful India”.
Our institution is housed under Permanent RCC roofed, architecturally designed building. It is located at Pavithram, some 7km west of Karur on the Karur - Coimbatore Road. It is situated amidst serene atmosphere, free from din & bustle of urban environment, quite congenial for academic pursuits. Steps are taken to cover the entire area with vegetation and lush garden. Classrooms are spacious, fully ventilated up to the norms and standards of NCTE. Infrastructure facilities and labs with modern equipments, ever growing Library with the additions in every subject, Language Lab with the state of the art gadgets are the special features of our institutions.
